First off, a horizon to horizon crisp and frosty Milky Way.

The weather front which had been dropping large amounts of water earlier in the evening cleared away and at 00:00hrs (23:00ut) I walked out

A list of bright and featured NGC and Messier galaxies culled from the Night Sky Observers Guide.

I’ve recently purchased a ‘take me anywhere’ ‘scope. At 60mm aperture and f5.4 the OTA comes in a 10” long when assembled.

I spent tonight observing the winter sky through my TeleVue Ranger. This is an excellent grab and go telescope and shows pin point stars.

A late start saw me hiding in the forest from the cold north wind. A few clouds passed through...

This was a reasonable session with intermittent misty clouds, the NELM down to 6 and a bit. A welcome outing!

A range of observers saw a mixed bag of objects in a clear sky and blinding nearly full moon.

From Friday 16th to Monday 19th July it was perfectly clear all night for 4 nights.

Arrived 12:00. Scope assembled in the evening.

Whilst the others were in the flesh spots of Lower Withington I braved the elements at Llyn Brenig.

This holiday Sunday, 26th August, I experienced clear blue sky, miles of clean sand and warm sea… …on Anglesey! 

I went to Tegg's Nose last night, (Monday 12th Feb) and had a very good time.

Well, finding an opportunity for observing between family, weather and the 'flu proved quite difficult.

Colin H and I saw ISS and the Shuttle on Saturday night in Colin's back garden...

Saturday 21st October, the forecast was for a clear and frosty night.  An opportunity to try and find some really dark sky. 

On Saturday, 30th September, Don Utton, Paul Clark, Paul Brierley and myself went to observe at Lamaload reservoir.
